NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC: “EVEREST SERIES – HISTORY IN THE MUD”

History is in the Mud is the first episode in a series from National Geographic that explores the direct effects of climate change in the world’s highest elevation, Mount Everest. While on the National Geographic 2019 Expedition to Everest, scientists traveled to Nepal’s Gokyo Valley to collect sediment cores from glacial lakes. The team’s mission was to gather data on the effects of climate change at the highest elevation on the planet and discover what kind of history they could find in the mud.
