RED DIGITAL CINEMA: “THE WILDS COLLECTIVE”
Shannon Wild and Russell MacLaughlin are wildlife filmmakers, known for capturing intimate shots of rare and beautiful animals in their natural environments. Their award-winning images have been featured on National Geographic and Animal Planet, and in exhibits around the world. In this RED Collective, the husband-and-wife filmmaking team discuss the immense passion and patience required to shoot wildlife, and inspiring stories from their epic adventures together. We were excited to travel around the world for this episode, from facing down Komodo dragons with Shannon on the beach, to following Lions with Russ. We filmed from the back of Jeeps, from canoes, and often hiked all day bringing the gear with us. To capture this episode with our signature cinematic look, meant packing very light and being prepared for almost any situation.
